Passing it on: Krugman Speaks on Education

KRUGMAN: We should expand investments in the education of America's youth. "In Spain, the unemployment rate among workers under 25 is more than 50 percent. In Ireland almost a third of the young are unemployed. Here in America, youth unemployment is 'only' 16.5 percent, which is still terrible -- but things could be worse...What should we do to help America’s young? Basically, the opposite of what Mr. Romney and his friends want. We should be expanding student aid, not slashing it.

The 27th Annual Crime Victims Candlelight Vigil

The Office of the New York State Attorney General and the Downtown Coalition for crime Victims, along with the New York County District Attorney's Office and the Joyful Heart Foundation is sponsoring the 27th Annual New York Crime Victims Candelight Vigil to be held this Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the West Collegiate Church located 368 West End Avenue. The vigil begins at 2:00 and finishes at 4:00. For more info please see the attached (flyer).
